"We selected Against the Grain to replace our 20 year old kitchen, ensuite bathroom, family bathroom and cloakroom ahead of the arrival of our new daughter. They organised the work in a way which constantly left us with usable facilities and minimised the disruption to the areas of the house not currently being worked on and got the entire project (all four rooms) completed on time and to a very high standard. They also did a couple of follow up visits to check how things were bedding in and fine tune some of the fittings for us. The workmen were all very courteous, friendly and cleaned up thoroughly on an ongoing basis. We believe the pricing gave us good value for money including the creation of bespoke fittings where they were required, and they were very transparent on the effect of changes to price on decisions we took during the planning phase".

'Against The Grain' recently fitted us with both a new kitchen and shower-room. We chose them to do our kitchen first of all, as they were a small local company, and we instantly liked their friendly but professional manner. 'Against The Grain' organise and manage the whole project, so we didn't have to look for builders, etc. Everyone involved proved very reliable and hard-working. We were able to choose just about any style of furniture we wanted, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Neil drew up our plans and was always at hand if we had any queries. Once the work was underway, Dan was always popping in to make sure everything was running smoothly, which made us feel very well looked after. Our kitchen looked stunning, and this is what lead us to have our shower-room fitted with them 18 months later.
